For almost 20 years, Gabrielle Young has been more than a physiotherapist at Each – she’s been a mentor, a leader and a source of unwavering support for both clients and colleagues.

For Gabrielle, Each is more than just a workplace.

For Gabrielle, it’s the people she works with – both clients and colleagues – that make Each feel like home.

“Our team is tight knit, with shared values and a strong sense of support," said Gabrielle.

"Leaders and colleagues go above and beyond to understand and care for one another, creating a truly collaborative and fulfilling work environment.”

From young adults to those in their 90s, Gabrielle’s work spans generations, adapting care to each individual’s unique journey toward strength and mobility.

“Community health brings everything together – all the experience from private practice, public hospitals and other settings. It gives you the chance to use that breadth of knowledge to support people in a meaningful way,” she shared.

Among her many contributions, Gabrielle was especially proud of developing a unique aquatic physiotherapy program. Delivered through community centres and public pools, the program provides vital support to clients with disabilities, particularly those accessing the NDIS.

“It’s rewarding to provide a service that’s not widely available and to mentor emerging physios to continue this work,” Gabrielle said.

In a full-circle moment, Gabrielle has returned to the disability support community where her journey began 40 years ago – reuniting with clients she once worked with and giving back to the field that shaped her career.

“It’s fulfilling to give back to the community that helped me become a physiotherapist. I’ve even reconnected with clients I worked with decades ago – it’s incredible to see how those connections have come full circle,” she said.

For Gabrielle, Each is more than just a workplace – it’s a community where people genuinely care about on another.

This sense of connection and purpose is what has kept her inspired for nearly 2 decades.

Whether she’s supporting clients to stay active as they age or mentoring the next generation of physiotherapists, Gabrielle finds joy in seeing others grow, thrive and achieve their potential.
