We’re excited to announce the appointment of Dr Deb Mitchell as the inaugural Senior Research Fellow of our five-year partnership with Monash University.

Meet Dr Deb Mitchell. Deb has a strong background in healthcare leadership, research and education – and like us, she is passionate about the importance of person-centred care.

Based at Each, Deb will shape and lead our research agenda – and create opportunities for more Each clinicians to become involved.

It’s all part of our commitment to being able to prove that care is effective, or have evidence that new approaches are needed.

Education is another key part of the Each-Monash partnership. Monash nursing, midwifery, and allied health students will soon be able to complete their clinical placements at the new Each multidisciplinary Clinical School. Our partnership, through the Monash Rehabilitation, Ageing and Independent Living (RAIL) research centre, will upskill present and future clinicians and bring us one step closer to realising our vision – for a world in which everyone has the power to live well.

We know that many Australians face health and well-being challenges due to factors beyond their control. By partnering with Monash University and combining data and expertise, we can create real, measurable impact for Australians who need us.

“Each supports people to address these factors and their health impacts through a wide range of integrated services that wrap around the individual to meet their specific needs,” CEO Natalie Sullivan says.

“Our five-year research partnership with Monash University, led by RAIL Research Centre, will help us develop a clear, targeted research agenda, producing the evidence to prove our impact, improve our approach and advocate for change.

“This is exciting news for us, the people and communities we serve, and a national health care system that is struggling to manage fragmentation and complexity.

“We can’t wait to welcome Deb to Each to begin this important work.”
