Funded through the headspace Enhancement Program, we’ve created an environment that reflects what young people told us they need: a place where they feel comfortable, safe, and supported.
The space has been refreshed with vibrant plants, modern furnishings, fresh paint, and reimagined areas for one-on-one support and group activities—all designed to foster connection and wellbeing.
Listening, learning, and growing together
Lara Clark, headspace Knox and Lilydale Services Manager, shared the heart behind the transformation.
“Young people are at the heart of everything we do, and by listening, these renovations are designed to meet their needs and resonate with the community we serve," she said.
For over a decade, headspace Knox has been a place where young people and their families can find support when they need it most. This new space builds on that legacy, creating an environment where every feel seen, heard, and valued.
A space that makes it easier to reach out
Taking the first step toward support can feel daunting. But a space that feels warm, inviting, and familiar can make all the difference.
"By updating the space, the renovated site aims to empower young people to seek help and feel confident to access services without the fear of judgment," Lara said.
"A modern and inviting setting can contribute to reducing the stigma around seeking mental health support, fostering a sense of connection and comfort for young people. By inviting young people into our rejuvenated space, we can better support them knowing they feel comfortable. Having a great space helps our team to work closely with young people to effectively manage their mental health," she said.
headspace Knox is funded by the Australian Government through the Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network, and operated by Each, which also runs headspace sites in Pakenham, Dandenong and Narre Warren.
