- Part-time (0.5 FTE) position available + Flexible workplace
- The role is based in Nipaluna Hobart on the southern lands of Lutruwita Tasmania, we pay our respects to the original owners of this land the Muwinina people.

About the role

Collaborating closely with the Clinical Director, Psychiatry Registrar, headspace Early Psychosis Manager, and headspace Eastern Shore Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality clinical care to young people across the state. Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead clinical care for young individuals from intake to treatment completion.
- Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment in a collaborative environment with clients and families.
- Develop and implement discharge plans ensuring continued care.
- Supervise Psychiatry Registrars and provide clinical leadership to the team.
- Engage in research, service evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to training and policy formation to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications
About you
The successful applicant will possess a wealth of qualifications, skills, and expertise, including:
- A passion for Early Psychosis Intervention. This is an area where your expertise will create long-
- Previous experience in youth mental health.
- Advanced clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, risk management, and treatment provision.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in multidisciplinary collaboration.
- A proven track record in working with diverse and vulnerable populations, including those with physical health, sexual health, mental health, and AOD presentations.
Mandatory qualification/s, competencies and/or licences
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
- A medical degree and full current registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Accredited RANZCP supervisor for registrars in training
- Current Drivers Licence and ability to travel between EACH location when required.

About headspace
The headspace program offers an “open door”, easily accessible, early intervention service for young people wishing to obtain support for mental health or substance use issues. The headspace Early Psychosis program is a specialist service which focuses on providing comprehensive services to support young people who are at risk of developing a psychotic illness, or those who have experienced a first episode of psychosis.
